Default What are the necros doing these days

Hey guys im a very exclusive necromancer player no other classes do it for me but i have just returned to GW after a massive break to find things are really boring now. So i was wondering what do people do with their necromancers for fun and cash making because it looks to me like things are very limited for them nowadays :S

How long was your "massive break"? Blood was changed a bit last year, but that's about it.

Uhm, I am always guaranteed a spot in my guild/alliance runs. People be likin' sexy MoP/SS damage. I think I found my natural role in Curses with how much of it I do IRL :P

BiPs are generally welcomed as support once you can manage to prove that Rits aren't the be all and end all of support. Snowball Dominance saw a lot of Necros being sought after due to Holiday Blues.

Does irritate me that you get some Necros running an AP Discord caller bar and thinking that's an Necro build for taking into a party -sighs-

Necromancers are still as great as ever.

SS still outdamages the entire elementalist class.

AP+MoP is still ridiculously powerful.

BiP is still BiPpy.

Minions are still great.

Orders still makes your physicals love you.

The only things that have changed are that Mesmers are now worth bringing in PvE, SF got (sort of) nerfed, and Ritualists have joined the overpowered club that necromancers, assassins, and warriors currently occupy.

I enjoy running DoA full runs(near unlimited energy due to Soul Reaping ), Starting to maybe try UWSC as an SS, MoP in FoWsc, but that's high end stuff. I still find doing dungeons with a friend in HM, or trying to hero UW. Necros can also solo farm alot including raptors and first 2 mobs in the Stygian Veil in DoA which are both VERY good for event items. You can also BiP for vsf(votaic spear farms) but finding a pug for that is hard, you usually have to get allies/guildmates.

That's just some stuff a necro can do!

I run a SV/curses hybrid on my necro, my fave build to run kills baddies fast in HM, SV is not as useful in nm so I'll change to SS or some other fun elite, but I dont NM much. Necros are always in demand.

BIP bars are generally only welcome in certain team builds or terribly bad teams. Also you are aware that AP bars were in general use before being picked up as Discord callers?

That is incorrect. It's just not as worthwhile.
